So you want to use video to promote your business?
When you are starting out with making videos for your business, you may be daunted by all the different equipment that is available. You may also see the price tag on them and start to shudder. For starting out though, you don’t need a lot of equipment. Here are the bare essentials for getting started.
- Video Camera or a smartphone that produces good quality video (iPhones, Androids, even iPods). Here are some video cameras to look at: Best Budget Camcorders
- If you are using a smart phone then you will need a way to attach it to your tripod (A quick google search for “smartphone tripod” reveals a couple of options for $15)
- A tripod (You can find tripods for $10-$50.) Be sure to try the tripod out with your camera and/or smart phone tripod adapter before you buy it.
Now that you have your gear, get familiar with using it. Record a bird sitting on the window sill or friends and family playing a game.
The next blog post will describe video shooting techniques to get the most out of your equipment.
